Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technology that produces detailed cross-sectional images of your retina. Think of it as an MRI for your eye, using light instead of sound to achieve incredibly high-resolution images of the structures beneath the retinal surface.
At Eyewise Opticians, we were one of the first independent practices in the area to invest in OCT technology. It’s now a cornerstone of how we monitor and protect your eye health.
How It Works
The scan is quick, painless, and non-invasive, it takes just a few seconds per eye. You simply look into the device while it captures detailed images of the layers of your retina. No drops or contact with your eye is required.
